Women's Blues Beat Bristol
20/10/2010
Cambridge won 15-4
Despite a diminished squad due to last minute illness and injury, the Blues pulled out a strong Performance against Bristol in the second round of BUCs matches this season. The team showed dominance right from the outset- scoring unexpectedly off a misdirected pass within the first 2 minutes of the game. From here onwards Cambridge showed complete control of the game, a fantastic number of attacking plays and team move left the back of the goalie net rippling. Two unfortunate yellow cards left Cambridge playing a man down for 2 minutes on 2 occasions, the talent of the team was shown by their confidence even in this man-down situation. Some great turnovers in midfield from Leah Schabas and some fantastic goals from ex-captain Ellie Walshe totalled the score to 15-4.
