Cambridge won 19-2

Cambridge won 9-5

The Blues lacrosse team made the long travel south to face main league rivals Brighton in a game that would play a big role in deciding the final standings. Last season Cambridge were narrowly beaten at Brighton and so the Light Blues turned up looking for revenge, as well as an opportunity to continue their fine start to the season.

Cambridge won 10-5

Cambridge Lacrosse continued its fine start to the season as they comfortably defeated club side Buckhurst Hill in their first competitive game of the year. The game began with high expectations from a strong Light Blue squad, with the first quarter showing some glimpses of the fantastic lacrosse that Cambridge can produce when on form. Cambridge won 8-6

The 94th Varsity Lacrosse match took place at University Parks on Saturday 27th February with Cambridge very much the underdogs against a strong Oxford team who had lost just one game so far this season. However, it was the Light Blues that would emerge the eventual victors in an incredible display of determination and teamwork that was simply too much for a group of individuals, regardless of how skilful or experienced they might be.

Cambridge won 25-1

As good as Portsmouth game had been, the next game for the Cambridge blues was against the University of East Anglia which was an entirely different affair. The game was never really going to be close as last time Cambridge had dominated 19-1. Before the game, Cambridge were in 3rd place in BUCS and needed a big goal difference to place second after all games had been played. Unfortunately, the game began fairly slowly with UEA managing to cut up the flow of the game while Cambridge failed to take advantage of a clearly inexperienced side.

Cambridge won 9-6

When it came to the Northampton fixture, many of the advantages in the previous game against Hitchin had been lost. Last minute cancellations saw a depleted Cambridge squad head to Northampton to face a far larger squad on an unfamiliar pitch, but what they lacked in man power was made up for in good quality lacrosse and a fantastic team win in the run up to Varsity.
